I was blessed to have a very safe and smooth trip today. So thankful Scottie brought me to the airport at 5am and then had to go to a full day of school. That is what I call selfless. He is so precious. I boarded my plane on time and after a 2 and half hour flight, I landed in a cold Houston, Texas. My layover was quick and I made a 5-year old friend. It was his birthday .
We took off for Minneapolis at 1:30pm and had a smooth flight; landing around 4:10pm. I then found my way to baggage claim, and then the park-n-go shuttle. But wait was it park-n-fly OR park-n-go. I thought it was park-n-fly. I was wrong. So after 20 minutes on the shuttle I realized my mistake. The shuttle driver was great and he drove me over to the correct parking lot. I found the car and was set!
After driving in California for 5 months, I was not use to the polite Minnesota drivers. After making it through “rush hour” I met up with my best friend Laura and another friend Erin. We went out for some delicious Qdoba, and have been relaxing ever since.
I am so glad to be home, my eyes actually teared up when we landed. The feeling of being home is indescribable. I hope you can all experience it someday. Safe, familiar, warm, just how you left it, and the people that have supported you through the thick and thin. The only thing that could be better is having my hubby alongside of me. But soon enough and he will be here.
I wish you all a joyful holiday season. Enjoy time with the ones you love and reflect on the reason for this special season. We lift up all those who will be missing loved ones this year, and hope that you rest in the promise of His love and grace.
I can’t wait to see everyone! But for now, I’m going to crash….
Love from Minnesota & California!
