Mrs. Parker… the teacher

Who would have thought that I would be teaching classes before I was done with my college degree? Definitely not me.

Tonight I taught my first high school level class alone. Up until this point I was assisting Jim with his classes, but due to his schedule he could not be there tonight, so the class was MINE. It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, and really feel like that is where the Lord may be leading my next steps in life. We shall continue to pray and see.
So that is not all. After teaching my first high school class, I am now preparing to go and tutor for my first time! lol. I sure don’t take baby steps, I just jump. I’m excited, but slightly unsure. The only reason I’m a little hesitant is because I have never been tutored before, and never really knew what happened during a tutoring session. Thanks to GOOGLE, I have a great game plan for tonight, and look forward to seeing how it goes. I’m sure the worst that could happen is we don’t accomplish anything! Also I’m crossing my fingers that all that I learned my freshman year of high school didn’t vanish from memory. That sure was a longer time ago than I thought. 7 years. Goodness time flies.
Well as I sit her looking outside to the setting sun, I am thinking of all of you in the great land of Minnesota who are getting blown away in that yucky weather. Just be thankful you have cozy fireplaces, convenient coffee shops, and the clothes to make it through this weather a bit more enjoyably. If that was happening out here….. we have seen NO fireplaces, there are only 4 real coffee shops that I know of in Riverside (and believe me I’ve looked hard), and I left all my “cold” clothing back home (I never thought you would ever need mittens, hats, or scarves here) so I would be freezing. I am sure thankful (and I don’t mean to brag) though, that I get to miss this weather. I don’t like the pre-snow or post-snow yuckies.
Anyways, I’m off to tutor here soon & Mr.Parker is at home with the guys watching two NBA games tonight. go figure! He is LOVING having dishTV.
Well no more news.
“Whenever you open the door of your heart, whenever you come close enough, you will hear Me say to you again and again, not in mere human words but in Spirit: “No matter what you have done, I love you.. for your own sake.” Come to Me with your misery and your sins, with your troubles and needs and with all your longing to be loved. I stand at the door of your heart and knock… open to Me for I thirst for you.”
