Judah Parker
Born: 1/11/11
Breed: Pug & Chihuahua mix
Came home: 3/5/11
Scottie & I have loved getting to know Judah and learn what responsibility looks like in a more physical form.
While Natalie and Brandy were here we were faced with the opportunity to get a puppy.
The neighbor downstairs had just brought home Judah's brother as a gift for his grandson.
Learning of the 13 puppy litter and only 2 remaining we began discussing the decision quickly.
Realizing we weren't necessarily in the position to spend money for a puppy and all that is included, we made a phone call but when we got no answer didn't persist.
The breeder called back a day later and said we could come look.
At this point we wanted to get one, but wanted to see them first and then decide.
Upon arrival we had two code words:
"Yogurt" for yes
"Minnesota" for no
As we walked in the door and she handed Scottie the male his words were,
"I'm in love."
Needless to say we didn't use the code words at all, and came home with a puppy.
The best part of it all is the breeder didn't want any money for the puppy and they were "trained" on puppy pads and ate hard food.
We went and got a leash, collar, pee pad pack, bag of puppy food totaling about $40 and that has been it.
Our neighbor downstairs gave his grandson Judah's brother, and also bred dogs before so he will be doing Judah's rounds of shots and offered to watch him if we ever go home or away for the weekend!

Nicole, Natalie, Brandy, Mom, Josh & Jason had a great time meeting and getting to know little Judah.
It was a thrill to surprise the family, but so hard to keep it a secret for 10 days.
When they got to the apartment after we picked them up at the airport, I simply went and let him out of the bathroom to run out and meet them.
I wish I could have captured their faces.
...
We are still "training" Judah, as he doesn't seem to like the pee pad as much as they said.
Going to the potty out in the grass is a much bigger thrill for him, and going up and down the stairs has been a great workout!
He sleeps with us through the night.
His favorite thing to do is burrow down under the blankets and find a crease to sleep in.
Most likely behind my knees, which makes for rolling over really awkward.
Judah is growing so fast, and will continue to show him off so you can see him become little man!
