No Shoes. No Baby. No Taxes.

Sunday morning breakfast.
The breakfast of champions.
Well, at least that is what it is in our home.
Delicious strawberries.
Loaded french toast.
This is to help Scottie reach his goal weight.
190 pounds here we he comes.
Crazy little man.
Judah has been such a bright spot in my life.
The season of being home a lot leaves a lot of down time.
Judah has filled that time.
Even if it is just snuggling up under my blanket while I read.
I love him more than I ever imagined I would.
What a little party he is in my life.
My Judah Budah.
...
Yesteray Scottie & I participated in
I took Judah for a walk.
We walked to Target.
Strolled around the mall.
Got the mail.
Did chores.
Just lived life.
A friend of ours got the athletes involved.
You can see her story here.
And for those of you who aren't familiar with ODWOS let me share.
The idea of wearing no shoes for a day was simply to bring awareness.
Awareness to the thousands of children in third world countries without shoes.
Giving a voice to the BIG issue of simply not having shoes.
For them it means...
Diseases.
No education.
Unlikely chance of success.
Cuts.
Sores.
Leading to death.
It was an easy way to start converation.
Walk barefoot for a cause.
Feel what it really is like to go without shoes.
Dirty feet. Blisters. Sore soles. Hot concrete.
Scottie experienced rocks stuck in his feet.
A friend stepped on a nail ((she is fine)).
But really opened our eyes to the reality of life.
We are more than privledged to live in this country.
Freedom. Justice. Shoes.
It makes me thankful.
Thankful to be in the hands of a Father.
A Father who led my parents to me.
A tiny, helpless baby in a country far away to be the answer to their prayers.
Colombia is my birthplace.
((A Guerrilla run country))
((THE cocaine provider for the world))
The United States of America is my home.
I am  blessed beyond words.
...
No baby.
Praying minute by minute for Chris & Chantel.
The due date was yesterday.
Pray.
They are anxious, and excited.
But confident in the Great Physician and our Father.
We can't wait to meet the precious little girl.
...
Sadly we still do not have internet at our apartment.
We have offically ordered it.
at&t screwed up our order.
Sent us the wrong modem.
Cancelled our account.
Said our "apartment" no longer existed.
?
We fixed everything after a long date on the phone with them.
April 14th is our new activation date.
The modem should arrive before that.
So that means I just completed our taxes in the CBU library.
Except....I need to ask some questions to someone who knows something.
I will make phone calls tomorrow before the final filing.
Whew.
At least it is all done and we are looking to recieve a blessing of money.
We are thankful for every penny we are given.
...
Love.
You.
All.
blessings & prayers.
From.
