I am watching a beautiful sunset here in California.
Reflecting back on the past few days.
It seems the hours were days and days were weeks.
We have seemed busy lately...
but I'm thinking it is more by choice than the demands of life.
Friday was a long, but wonderful day.
We started the morning by heading to the SPORT Clinic at 5:30am.
No, this is not normally when I go in but usually when Scottie goes in.
Today was a very special day....
It was Jim's birthday!
We had a great morning celebrating over cupcakes & cake & donuts & diet coke.
Everyone consuming enough sugar and caffine to last them the weekend.
After our little party, we hit the road to see some friends.
...
Our friends were Joe & Courtney Dewey who have joined us in moving to Cali.
They live about 50 miles away in a beautiful area near San Diego.
We had so much fun talking and seeing their living area.
Horses. Pigs. Chickens. Dogs and all!
In the afternoon we ventured down to La Jolla.
Definitely one of our new favorite beaches in California.
It was absolutely breathtaking.
((as you can see))
Court & I enjoyed watching the seals and sea lions struggle to get ashore.
It was such a beautiful day to take a walk along the coast with friends from home.
In the evening we made dinner and played our new favorite game "Killer Bunnies".
After a long and special day with dear friends we headed back to Riverside.
...
This weekend was fun and relaxing.
Saturday I worked at a football camp for ages 6yrs-9yrs.
It was way more fun than work.
I sat and watched them learn drills, catch, throw, and do a combine course.
No injuries out side of giving 2 band aids away.
One to someone who was bleeding, another to a little one who thought he was.
What a joy.
...
Scottie has been studying hard for another exam that he will be taking tomorrow.
We tried to take study breaks throughout the weekend as needed.
Many consisting of food and fun.
Sunday Scottie & I went to both churches we have been attending.
and
Orange Crest Community.
The Lord truly penetrated us with the word this weekend.
Both sermons were definitely life shaking.
But for me a bit like I was the one who needed to hear it the most.
We are thankful for two different churches to be able to attend.
We love our new community at OCC.
The Lord is working.
May we continue to be His hands and feet.
...
Last and definitely not least.
The baby is here.
Clarity was born last week on Wednesday night with no complications.
Happy healthy mama and baby.
We can't wait to meet her.
Thank you for all your prayers and love.
...
This week will be a new one for me.
Scottie is leaving me to "attend" a conference.
In Las Vegas.
They head out on Wednesday and won't be home until Sunday.
Pray for their travel and time there.
But also for me as I will be home alone with Judah.
I am praying for time in the word.
Time with Judah.
An outlook that is positive.
Enjoying time alone.
Not becoming sad or down.
It should be good for the both of us.
...
love you all.
"Everyone should be quick to listen,
slow to speak
and slow to become angry,
because anger does not produce the rightousness that God desires."
James 1:19
