dancing with Jesus

tonight i sit at home with my judah.
my love is on his way from minneapolis to wisconsin rapids.
after a long day of travel he is "home".
to be quite honest, i am jealous that i had to stay behind.
50 degree weather, family, autumn, & changing colors sure soothes my soul.
it is not a happy time for him to be home,
but a very special time for his family.
as his dad wrote so perfectly

"My Mother, Helen Parker, celebrated her 92nd birthday on Monday, September 19, and then at 11:25pm that evening passed into eternity to see her Savior face to face....we will celebrate and remember Mom's life. We are grateful for her faithful walk with the Lord Jesus Christ."

if you ask me,
i'm sure she is just dancing with jesus,
singing songs of worship to her savior.
it is so bittersweet in times like these.
to say goodbye to a dear loved one,
but to know that they left this fallen earth to be in eternity with their LORD.
it is always hard for those left behind,
as it will be for the parker clan.

prayers during this time for the family would be much appreciated.
it is hard for me to not pour so many words over such a beautiful woman of the LORD.
i didn't have the privilege to know grandma before she was sick,
but the stories i hear,
and the way i watched grandpa treat his bride only showed she was an amazing woman.

grandma & grandpa celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this month,
as well as grandma's 92nd birthday on monday & today is grandpa's birthday!
praise the lord for those who were a part of The Greatest Generation & left beautiful legacies.
