views from the hospital

i don't share much about our prenatal care,
but thought i would share some details for you all.
to catch everyone up to speed.
we moved from california to oregon in july,
after finding out while in minnesota that we were 6 weeks pregnant.
talk about confusing prenatal care.
my pregnancy test was done in my hometown at the clinic.
i didn't do any care in california.
then it was a little over 12 weeks before i could be seen in oregon.
after many tears & calls to our insurance company,
we finally were set to begin our care at OHSU.
oregon health & science university.
my insurance is still through minnesota,
so we needed to find a provider who would accept the insurance,
while also giving me the best care like if i were in minnesota.
so.
we are happy to say we have loved every minute at ohsu.
we are doing all our care through the midwives,
unless my pregnancy becomes high risk.
we have access to all the latest labor & delivery options.
while also being able to participate in many different research studies.
we have also chosen to be a part of a prenatal group.
this means for the next five appointments we meet with 3 other couples.
these other couples are all due within one week of us.
it is already amazing & i look forward to each one.
the other perks to our hospital is that it is located up on a hill
&
has the most breathtaking views.
i hope you enjoy.
