We are back.

Happy first day of school to all you Northwestern students!
It was bittersweet not being there today to be a part of the hype of a new chapel year! I was thankful to have a picture of Jess, Heids and D sent to me though. I will live vicariously through you all! Life without chaps is going to be interesting.
Anyways it has been a bit since the Parker Fam has blogged. Honestly it’s due to our lack of motivation to get to a source with internet. I think now as our classes begin we will probably be on more, but for the time being it may be a bit sporadic. Soon we do hope that we can get internet in our apartment, but that will in accordance with our money situation.
So what have we been up to this past week. Fun stuff I suppose. I’ll give you a quick play by play and then I’m headed out so we can get home.
Scottie’s Week: He did some clinical hours but was blessed to have a 4 day weekend, and got to spend it outside in the hot weather. Clinical hours are becoming a bit longer since there is not always someone in the training room, but he is learning as much as he can. He had a fun time helping take out stitches last week and said he got a nice little adrenaline rush. Other than that he has just been hanging out and getting ready for classes to begin next week.
Natalia’s Week: Well I started my internship and it has been FABULOUS. Quite stretching and challenging in our field, but so good. I have had to remember so much from the last 3 years and look forward to so much more. My current role is…well everything it seems. I help with The Sport Clinic, and get to be a part of injury evaluations and taking vitals for physicals. Everything is hands on so I have already learned a lot. When I’m not in the clinic, I am helping Jim with something. He is a man who is extremely talented and brilliant! Currently I’m helping him with an online high school class, teaching with him in a high school class, assisting in a college level course, helping him brainstorm for a large conference in June that he runs and lastly Scottie and I are beginning to help him write his 3rd book. Its going to be an Athletic Training e-book. So instead of pictures there will be videos. This will be the 3rd edition of his book. So if you want to check it out, its called “Sports Medicine Essentials” by Jim Clover. HE is the Man! I definitely will gain MUCH KNOWLEDGE from him.
What a blessing from the Lord.
Also the best part is Jim loves to have help. So Scottie is going to come along to games, the clinic and such when he can! Who can beat working with your hubby doing what you love!
Oh and this past weekend we went up to Simi Valley to stay with Uncle Don and Aunt Sharon. It was a relaxing and fun time. We ate to much, and had a great time with our cousin Andrew (15). On Sunday we went to Universal Studios City Walk and had lunch. It was so fun and I could have spent hours there. Anyways…..I’m tired!
Praying for all you back home in Minnesota! Can’t express how much we love you and think about you. Life is good here and we are thankful for all your prayers! Again….please don’t forget to plan a trip! We are finding some good spots.
